During the last winter months of 2020/2021 we had a roosting tree with sometimes more than a dozen long-eared owls but they were all gone when spring has arrived. This year we had a family of long-eard owls directly at Munich airport. Why they’ve choosen such an busy area for growing up their fledlings – nobody knows. But it’s so fascinating to watch them grow. Their behaviour and movements are so fun to watch…They are now almost grown up and soon will hunt for themselves…Love these kind of nature surprises.
