APRIL 2021

During the spring months most wildlife get their offspring. From owls to songbirds and wild boars to foxes and badgers. There is so much action going on that it’s hard for wildlife photographers to choose where to go. This year was my first time i was able to photograph and film wild boar piglets. Most of the females give birth at the same time so a group of 30-40 piglets is pretty common. In the first months they have a grey to brown color with stripes and they are perfectly camouflaged in the forest. Mother wild boars can be pretty agressive when you get too close to their young so you always have to be on alert and back up if the mother gets too nervous. It was such a joy watching those piglets playing around. For more wildlife of Bavaria click here.
