The american green tree frog is a common arboreal species of New World tree frogs. They inhabit wetlands and swamps in the South-eastern United States. Their color variation ranges from bright green to dark brown. Camouflaged  like that in the dense vegetation of green water plants they are sometimes hard to see. This frog i found while strolling through Huntley Meadows Regional Park in Northern Virginia. For more pictures of Amphibians click here.
