My long awaited wildlife trip in 2019 took me to Poland at the beginning of October. The main goal was to see and photograph wild wolves and brown bears in the Bieszczady NP located in the forest carpathian mountains, the most southeastern corner of Poland.  Well, unpredictable like we all know wildlife can be, i did not see a single wolf! It was frustrating because we could hear them howling during the night and very close to our hide too. At least a few brown bears showed up but mostly long after sunset so in the dark it was quite tricky to get a decent shot. As the mammals were kind of lazy the raptors were in full action, we saw sparrowhawks and goshawks chasing jays and some buzzards made their visit too. For the wolf i will need to plan another trip to this wild and rugged place…for more pictures of wildlife in poland click here.
