On one of my latest Denver 24hr stops i drove up to Mt Evans to be there at sunrise. Wow, what a magic place and than to see the sunrise at an elevation of more than 14.000ft. Of course the main actors were the mountain goats, they just popped up with the first sun rays, most of them females with lambs. Besides that we saw yellow-bellied marmots, american pikas, bighorn sheep and a pine martin. The first few hours there were only a few poeple and it was a very intense time with that unique mountain critters. Hope to be back soon for more Colorado wildlife.
