While spending 2 days at Point Reyes National Seashore i was lucky to have a bunch of incredible wildlife encounters. From bugling tule elk, hunting bobcats, curious skunks and my first american badger encounter the sighting of this great horned owl was amazing. It was sitting in a tree next to the road and was very photographer tolerant (it was only me…) i spend quite some time with this beautiful owl. These nocturnal raptors are pretty common throughout the states but for me it’s a special encounter every time i run into them. For more of the latest Point Reyes pictures click here.
