OCTOBER 2023

During my stay at Dovrefjell National Park the main focus was of course to find and photograph the muskoxen. But during dusk and dawn the goal was to find another big mammal, the european moose. My guide told me, that they can best be seen at dusk and dawn in the meadows near the road where they feed on leaves and waterplants. At the beginning i could see them in the far distance or they were covered by trees but one evening i got lucky and saw a big bull moose standing in a clearing in beautiful autumn colors, this encounter was only for a couple seconds before the moose went his way further out in the swamp. But the time was enough to get a couple decent shots like this one. For more wildlife in Norway click here.
