Elephant Seals

The northern elephant seal is the largest member of the seals. Males can grow up to 4m length and weig up to 2300kg. Females are much smaller and only reach 3m length and weigh to 640kg.The northern elephant seal lives in the eastern Pacific Ocean. They spend most of their time at sea, and usually only come to land to give birth, breed, and molt. They feed on squid, pelagic crustaceans, sharks, rays and other fish. On their hunting dives they can dive to depths of more than 2000m.
