Wild Canada

Together with Alaska, Canada is the last frontier in real nature wilderness for many people (including myself). With only 37 Million People, who live mainly in the big cities in the south, the country has lots of wild spaces with forests, mountains and tundras. And of course endless snow and ice fields in the arctic north. Oil and mining business growing fast and there are surly some conflicts with first nation people and environmental groups. A great news last year was the ban on trophy hunting for grizzly bears. So fighting for wildlife and nature is worth it! Besides the grizzlies, black bears, moose, wolfes, beavers and many kinds of birds and especially the salmon run of the 5 migrating salmon species, makes Canada to a wildlife paradise!
