National Park Hohe Tauern

NP Hohe Tauern is the largest national park of Austria and stretches over parts of Carinthia, Salzburg and Tyrol. The highest summit of Austria the Großglockner (3798m) is also located in the park. There is a healthy population of alpine ibex in the park. Besides that alpine marmots, chamois, golden eagle, bearded eagle and very seldom brown bears and lynx making their way back into their former habitat.
