Addo Elephant NP

Located at the eastern cape just a short drive from Port Elizabeth, Addo Elephant National Park is one of the easiest to reach national parks of South Africa. It is only a small park but it has grown over the last years and is now spreading towards the south as well as to the north. As its name says the park is home to about 600 african elephants but with luck, you can see all big five there. Buffalos and lions sightings are quite likely if you stay a couple days in the park while spotting a rhino or leopard is quite difficult. But there are so many other animals to see: spotted and brown hyenas, black backed jackals, kudu, eland, burchell’s zebra just to name a few mammals and the bird world is fascinating too.
